Red Man tobacco put out 52 card sets for the '52 - '55 seasons. The only significant design changes over those years were to add more detailed backgrounds. These are good entry level sets for collectors, because the sets are relatively small, they are packed with stars, and because of tab and condition issues making low-grade examples fairly easy to acquire.

The Red Shoendienst is from the 1954 set and still has the redemption tab attached (these were meant to be cut off and sent in for a hat). Red is a Cardinal legend and served the organization until the day he died at 95. He was inducted into the HOF in 1989.

The tab-less Enos "Country" Slaughter is from the 1952 set. Enos is another Cardinal legend and hall-of-famer (1985 class).
