A friend gave me a card game he picked up at an antique mall or something. The name of the game is Baseball. It was made by ED-U-CARDS back in 1957. It is fairly simple. You play as the batting side and flip and account for what they say until you have recorded three outs. You mark how many runs were scored, shuffle the deck, and go on to the next half-inning. No skill is involved. I was telling August that it would be kind of fun if each team had nine decks, and you redistributed the cards within the nine decks to create “players” in your managed lineup with different odds for the better scoring cards. And by “kind of fun” I mean that it would be fun to do once or twice.
Pictured is the “hit by pitcher“ card. I liked the drama of the drawing. And the colors of the cards definitely contribute to the vintage look.
