1959 Topps - Keystone Combo Fox-Aparicio

The late 50s early 60s White Sox teams were my dad's favorite teams. He would have been a youngster then. Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio played the middle infield for those teams, and they played themselves into the Hall of Fame largely on their defensive merits. I found this old Sports Illustrated article on the pair from the same year.

The 1959 Topps designs were dominated by solid color fields and circle framing. This combo card is an excellent example of the '59 Topps set, and a fitting tribute to the defensive duo.
