The 1968 Topps cards had a weird burlap-style pattern on the border. I like them. They are lend a nice organic warmth and brightness to the cards similar to the 1987 wood grain borders (whereas the 1962 wood grain borders tend to be too dark). They also mask minor condition problems - soft corners, bad edges, minor creases, etc. The primo card from this set is the Nolan Ryan pseudo-rookie (see my post on the 1967 Mets team card).
Here we have the N.L. RBI Leaders card. Some version of stat leaders cards are in many of the Topps sets over the years. Typically, they are not desirable. I tend to think that they are undervalued. This card, for instance, is worth less than the '68 Cepeda, and significantly less than the Clemente or Aaron. But here you have one card that features all three of them.
Below is the A.L. Batting Leaders featuring Yaz, Robinson, and Kaline. Those six players are quite the group. I think I got each card for $2.
