Eddie Murray was a great hitter, perhaps the 2nd best switch-hitter ever (maybe third). He won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1977, and his first cards appeared on the scene in the great year of 1978. Above is a '78 Kellogg's 3-D card distributed in Kellogg's cereal boxes. Kellogg's made these 3-d cards from 1970 - 1983. That's quite a long run for a food premium card. Food cards, in general, aren't very desirable. But these would probably do better than most if it weren't for their tendency to curl and get scratches.
Below, you will see Eddie Murray's 1978 Topps card. This and the Trammell/Molitor are the best in the set. Someday, I suspect the Whitaker rookie will go up in value. The Trammell/Molitor, as metioned in that post, is notorious for print smudge issues. The Murray suffers from centering issues. It is difficult to find one that is centered. Most people, I surmise, probably just try to get the least off-center one they can find. Mine is way off-center, but the corners and edges are pretty good.
