1997 Bowman's Best - Adrian Beltre

I got this card a few years ago when I realized Beltre was probably going to be elected into the Hall of Fame some day. It is not guaranteed, given his early run-in with steroids, but only three scandal-ridden players and the not-yet-retired Pujols have a higher career WAR than Beltre and are not in the Hall of Fame (not that WAR is the best stat in the world). He is 40th all-time, which is significant (he'd be in the top 15% of all HOFers).

This is another shiny Bowman product where they strove to get cards of prospects before they made it to the big leagues. They were barely in time for Beltre. He played for the Dodgers as a 19-year-old in 1998.
