1934 was Paul Dean's rookie year. He led the league in strikeouts per 9 innings, won 19 games, was ninth in the MVP vote, and won the World Series. Not bad for your first year in the league. But Jay Hannah, his older brother, won 30 games, led the league in total strikeouts, won the MVP, and, being his teammate, also won the World Series. Poor Paul was second banana to his own kin. I don't think he minded. Jay and Paul put together the best season by two brothers in the history of the game and came out victorious. The brothers won over half of the Cardinals wins that year.

Paul was also known by the nickname Daffy. His career wasn't very long, only nine seasons. and only his first two seasons were any good. But he earned himself a place in baseball lore.
